Ways to Spice Up your Setup Space

So, you’ve got your gorgeous decked out PC… but how’s the rest of your setup? No matter how glorious the RGB is in your case, if the rest of setup space is looking a little worse for wear it can really bring your entire set up down a notch. So, here are 7 ways to spice up your setup space, to ensure you have the best-looking setup possible!

Monitor Stands

While this might not seem like it adds all that much to your setup, it can do worlds! Firstly, most of the stands that come with monitors often don’t reach up high enough for your eyes, so you can end up hurting your neck. Secondly, it frees up so much extra desk space for other things! You can get a nice monitor stand for a fairly decent price, and it’s super beneficial, especially if you sit at your desk for a long time. Lastly, they come in a variety of colours and looks, so you don’t have to worry about it clashing with your colour scheme.

RGB Light Strips

If you just can’t get enough RGB in your life, then why not cover your desk space with it! If you aren’t fortunate enough to have RGB in your desk already, grabbing some cheap RGB strips off somewhere like Amazon and sticking them to the back side of your desk can create a stunning look, especially if your desk is against a wall. Getting RGB light strips that have a controller are also great as you can change the lighting with ease, whenever you want! This is a simple and effective way to jazz up your set up, and add some subtle unique flair to your space.

Headset Stand

I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again! If you have a fancy headset that you just leave sitting on your desk, I am not mad, just disappointed. That headset is practically begging to fall onto the floor and snap in half! Solution? Invest in a headset stand. You don’t have to break the bank with this either, with some awesome budget options available too. You can also find some that have RGB in them! That way you can sync everything up, for the ultimate upgrade – RGB style!

Sit/Stand Desk

Another item on this list that is good for you health-wise, but also looks cool, is a sit/stand desk. These desks allow you to alternate your time sitting and standing, which is overall great for your back and posture. If you spend countless hours at your desk working or gaming, investing in a great sit/stand desk will do you wonders, and they look amazing too!

Extended Mouse Pad

If you’re still using a cheap mouse pad from the dollar store, then it’s time to upgrade my friend! Mouse pads are an incredibly central part of your desk setup, so why not make sure it looks nice and flashy! An extended mouse pad is always my go to if you have the space, because you can cover the area under your mouse and your keyboard also. These can sometimes come with flashy RGB lighting.

Plants/Figurines

If you are a big plant person, there is nothing that can spruce up a space better than a cute little plant. Personally, I’d recommend something low maintenance like a succulent. This is because they don’t require much pruning, can deal with lack of water, and also are happy in warmer places, like near a hot PC. If you aren’t into plants, getting cute figurines of your favourite characters are also a great idea. My desk is currently occupied by a Funko Pop figure of Sheogorath, my favourite Elder Scrolls character. This can add a cute, unique presence to your desk and is also fun to have your favourite character chilling next to you while you work.

A Fancy Gaming Chair

The final thing to bring everything together, is a fancy gaming chair. Like the desk and monitor stands mentioned prior, having a good chair is an essential part of a good desk set up. You want a chair that can support your back and help assist your posture. Having a cheap, basic chair for a little while is OK, but honestly, in the long term, it can do a lot of damage to your body. On top of all this, a nice gaming chair can do wonders for spicing up your setup! They come in a wide variety of colours and styles to suit all sorts of colour schemes. Chucking out your old, falling apart office chair and upgrading to a gorgeous, sleek gaming chair will do wonders for the overall look of your set up space too!
