MORE Games I’m Looking Forward to in 2022 (Beatdown Your Wallet Edition)

Hot diggity dog it’s that time again, let’s list some MORE Games I am Looking Forward to! I can’t believe the majority of the games from my most recent list have already come out! And I mean, what do you think I’m going to do, sit around and play them? Yuck. No, you salty banana instead I’m just going to start getting excited for the next batch of cool games to come out! The hype train stops for nobody! Here are MORE Games I’m Looking Forward to in 2022 (Beatdown Your Wallet Edition)!

Cat Café Manager

Frick yeah dude it’s a management sim where you help run a cat café, need I say more? You adopt these stray suckers from the streets, level them up via pats, and turn them into the main attraction of your chic and stylish café.

As one would expect, you’re tasked with all the usual duties that come with managing a café. Delivering coffees, keeping customers happy and of course, cleaning cat pee.

From the trailer, this game appears to just ooze charm and cosiness, and I look forward to playing on a lazy Sunday morning (preferably when it’s raining for maximum comfort).

Having been to a cat café, I have a feeling this video game is going to be a little more exciting than the real thing (those cats did not, I repeat, DID NOT want to be patted)

Keep your eyes peeled for this one!

Nintendo Switch Sports

Don’t lie to me, you did not predict this showing up any time soon. No one did. A sequel to Wii Sports?!?! Who asked for this? Do the kids today even know what a Mii is? Well, when you think about it, this sequel totally makes sense.

While designed purely to show off Nintendo’s new motion control technology, Wii Sports ended up becoming a stone-cold classic. An icon of its gaming generation and remembered with fond nostalgia ever since. Are you telling me you can’t hum the original Wii Sports theme right now? Hogwash.

Nintendo Switch Sports will be a guaranteed smash hit.

I can’t tell you how many hours I’ve put into OG Wii Sports, only to do it all again when Wii Sports Resort released. Tommy from Basketball remains my greatest sporting rival.

So, I look forward to giving this one a spin, as the seldom used motion controls within the Nintendo Switch joy cons are actually pretty good!

Plus, volleyball is in this one. I like volleyball.

Capcom Fighting Collection

An excuse to break out my embarrassingly expensive arcade stick that I’ve used four times again!?! You betcha. Celebrating 35 years of Capcom, the company has decided to create an eclectic fighting game bundle packed with 10 games!

The list includes:

  • Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors
  • Night Warriors: Darkstalkers’ Revenge
  • Vampire Savior: The Lord of Vampire
  • Red Earth
  • Vampire Hunter 2: Darkstalkers’ Revenge
  • Hyper Street Fighter II: The Anniversary Edition
  • Vampire Savior 2: The Lord of Vampire
  • Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo
  • Super Gem Fighter Mini Mix
  • Cyberbots: Full Metal Madness

What’s sick about this list is that it is made up of games that either never got a Western release, or are impossible to buy anymore due to their obscurity. Of course, Street Fighter II is thrown in there to sell more units, but the sheer variety here is impressive! I’ve always wanted to play a Darkstalkers game and now I finally get the chance to!

It’s also received a plethora of new updates to bring all these games into 2022, including mid game saves and online play with rollback netcode for every single title!

Can’t wait to pick this one up!

Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series

Klonoa fans, rise up! Out from the cracks and crevasses we meander, shielding our faces from the harsh sunlight.

If you don’t have any idea who Klonoa is, he’s as close as an answer to Kirby as you can get. A colourful and adorable side strolling adventure, you control Klonoa as you embark on a journey to save Phantomile.

Much like Kirby, it’s kind of impossible to describe what Klonoa is. He’s like a cat… rabbit… thing? Either way, he’s very stylish and I bet he’s grandma’s favourite grandson.

This bundle includes the first PS1 original, and the PS2 sequel in one neat, revamped 4k resolution package! It also has difficulty options and coop available!

While Kirby will remain the one I defend with honour and dignity, Klonoa is a worthy rival in the cutesy platformer realm and one that you shouldn’t turn your nose up at!
